On 15 March, the second stop of FINA Diving World Series 2018 sponsored by Hosa was held in Fuji, Japan.


The competition lasted for three days, with a total on ten events. Spectators enjoyed the visual performance, with the combination of strength from male athletes and beauty of female athletes.


On 17 March, the competition in Fuji, Japan, was completed. The China athlete team won 10 gold medals, 3 silver medals and 1 bronze medal in total in 10 events. The China diving team swept the championships in all 10 events again after the first stop in Beijing.   


In particular, Shi Tingmao, together with her teammate Wang Han, won the first runner-up in the female 3 meter springboard diving competition. Lian Junjie and Yang Jian, an experienced athlete, won the 10 meter champion and the first runner-up in the male 10 meter board diving competition. Wang Han and Li Zheng, a China diving team, won the champion in the male and female mixed pair 3 meter springboard diving competition, with 328.50 points. Cao Yuan won the champion in the male 3 meter springboard diving competition, and his partner Xie Siyi was the second runner-up in the competition. Zhang Jiaqi and Ren Qian won the champion and the first runner-up in the female 10 meter board diving competition, respectively. Lian Junjie and Lin Shan, his partner, won the champion of mixed 10 meter board diving competition. 


In the semi-final competition of the female 3 meter springboard diving competition, Shi Tingmao and Wang Han ranked first in the corresponding group. As the movement arrangement of the two athletes were identical, they directly competed with each other in every round. Shi Tingmao, with better movement quality, ultimately won the champion with 388.05 points, while Wang Han was the second runner-up with 359.30 points, and a Russian athlete was the second runner-up.


In the competition of the male 10 meter board diving competition, Lian Junjie and Yang Jian, an experienced athlete, participated in the competition as delegated by China. In the first three round of competition, Yang Jian took the lead, but he only gained 64.75 points in the fourth round 626B (back dive tuck with 3 somersaults in the pike position) after committing a mistake. In the last diving, Yang Jian attempted to spare no effort in 109B (forward dive tuck with 4.5 somersaults in the pike position), but the attempt was just in average. Finally, Lian Junjie won the champion with 535.15, with his stable performance, while Yang Jian was the second runner-up and a French athlete was the third runner-up. Daley, a renowned diver who won the champion in the world championships, was struck out in the semi-final.



After the competition, Lian Junjie mentioned that he focused on his every attempt in the competition, strived to maintain stable and achieved the guidance of the coach. The winning hinged on the high pointed obtained in the fourth round. Yang Jian was dissatisfied with his performance. “Failing to find out the reasons of committing the mistakes is devastating. I will communicate with the coach after going back to Beijing to dig out the reasons”, mentioned Yang.


FINA World Diving Series Competition is a high level competition comparable to the Olympic Games. In the completion held in each stop every year, participating athletes are mainly price-winners of the Olympic Games, the World Championships and the World Cup. The first two stops in 2018 were held in Beijing and Fuji, and the third stop will be held in Montreal, Canada, at the end of April, and the fourth stop, the last stop, will be held in Kazan, Russia, in early May.

From 2015 to 2017, Hosa sponsored the FINA 10 km Marathon Swimming World Cup and FINA World Diving Series Competition for 3 consecutive years. From 2018 to 2021, Hosa will become the official cooperation partners in the competitions of FINA, sponsored the FINA World Marathon Swimming Series Competition, and continue to act as the official sponsorship for the help of FINA World Swimming Series Competition in the coming 4 years.
