FINA/Hosa 10km Marathon Swimming World Cup HK 2017 kicked off at 9 a.m. on 21 October 2017 in Repulse Bay, Hong Kong. More than 100 world’s top marathon swimmers from 28 countries and regions participated in the game in Hong Kong. Rob MUFFELS from Germany secured the men’s championship with 1:53:10s, Ferry WEERTMAN, the Dutch, came to the second place with Allan DO CARMO from Brazil in third place. Arianna BRIDI, an Italian female swimmer, achieved in the women’s championship with her final time of 2:02:12s, while Ana Marcela CUNHA from Brazil and Finnia WUNRAM from Germany obtained the second and third places, respectively.

FINA / Hosa 10km Marathon Swimming World Cup is a premium international event of long-distance and open-water swimming. With games held in many countries all over the globe every year, it has strong authority and high influence on water sports around the world. As an official partner of FINA, Hosa has sponsored the 10km Marathon Swimming World Cup for three consecutive years, and has provided strong supports in terms of services and protection, as well as professional equipment for the games.

Extremely fierce competition in HK game

FINA/Hosa 10km Marathon Swimming World Cup 2017 has a total of 7 stops across North America, South America and Asia. The first stop was held in Viedma, Argentina, followed by competitive games held in Abu Dhabi in the Middle East, Lac-Megantic and Lake Saint John in Canada, and Setubal in Portugal. The game held in Qiandao Lake, Chunan, China last weekend was the second last stop, while Hong Kong stop was the season finale of this year.
